The activity,
LifeSkills Training, is aimed to prevent the young from the use and the abuse
of substances such as alcohol, drugs and tobacco. It also implies helping the
students improve relationship and prevent them from misbehavior like violent attitudes and
bullying, developing emotional skills.
In order to achieve
that, some units of the activities have dealt with emotional skills, for
instance, handling anger and managing anxiety.
The target of Life
Skills is giving the pupils involved in the poject the ability to face the
matters they may encounter during their growing up. Particularly the Life
Slkills training project is going to reinforce their own self-esteem helping
them to make friends, to manage with rage and conflicts and to be able to
assert
During the task,
discussions and behavioral simulations have been allowed besides the teacher’s
intervention, when necessary, and individual homework.
Boys and girls have
had the opportunity to know their own emotional reactions in different
situations (with their pairs, their families, schoolmates and teachers) and
they have also had the chance to manage with them in the best way under the supervision of the adults and learning to
be respectful of objects and people.
