ACTIVITY ABOUT EMOTIONS
1. The expert helps the kids sit down in circle.
While
sitting down, they talk about emotions, fears and about the reactions
that the
emotions produce on our body:
heat, tremor, racing pulse, heavy breathing.
Then,
during the afternoon, she puts in the centre of the circle
some cards with
pictures of objects.
The
kids choose one and say which sensations and emotions that picture recalls.
Then
everyone writes his or her emotion on the blackboard.
The
kids conclude that some emotions are difficult to describe in front of others.
2. The expert hands out to every kid
a small piece of paper
on which a situation
that might cause negative emotions is written.
Then,
every kid, while sitting on the ground blindfolded is invited to describe the
emotions he or she would feel in the situation indicated on their piece of
paper.
3. We put the desks in their usual positions.
The
expert asks the kids to go
through some magazines and choose
some pictures to
paste on a piece of paper to talk about themselves.
