Activity: Recognizing emotions

Class Involved: 1AP (students’ age: 11/12)

Date: during the second term (february to may) - finished on 9th May, 2017

The aim of the task in class 1AP has been “identifying emotions and conveying them to a happy result!”.

The nice students of this class have been pleased to see the film “Inside Out” at school twice: the first  time in our native language, mainly to get the message properly; after that, in English, to go through the English language, to improve their own vocabulary and also to think over the topic  “Emotions”.

The young students have had great fun drawing about Fear, Joy, Anger, Disgust, Sadness, and… miming them too. At the same time they have had the opportunity to reflect positively on their feelings and to write a paragraph about the movie.

Even if this is a friendly class, this work may be useful in the near future of the pupils to prevent or, just in case, to face dangers such as bullying or cyber-bullying in order to find peace “inside out” and no need to quarrel or attack each other.
